Donations to the community & needy veterans and programs
have totaled well over $1,000,000 over the life of the post.
Current donation activities include two annual scholarships to
deserving high school seniors, Boys State, three American Legion
Baseball Teams, the USO, and presentations on flag etiquette,
history of the U.S. Flag, and war experiences to all schools
in the Rockwood School District. The Post maintains a well drilled
Color and Honor Guard for raising the Colors at many community
events and for honoring veterans at their memorial services.

For the past five years Post 177 and Wal-Mart have partnered in the raffle
to raise funds in support of the Post's scholarship funds, Boys' State,
Legion Baseball and Veterans in need programs.
